I was down in a friends flat where several of us were shown some, somewhat cringey it might be said, footage of said friend's acquaintance's YouTube channel. When I later mentioned that I had been trying the cottage cheeses from every supermarket (though I can't say it was a concerted effort at this stage, more just the natural variation in where I was shopping) , it was jokingly suggested that I should start my own YouTube channel dedicated to reviewing cottage cheese. These kinds of throwaway comments are usually amusing at the time but soon forgotten and someone less pernickety would probably have just have laughed it off. No such luck here. I don't remember outwardly thinking too much of it at the time, but the next day I found myself in Tesco. Starting what would be the quest of a lifetime...
